Lately when i menstruate, i start having itch and discomfort in my vagina and my skin become irritated. i wonder if it can be due to infection or pads?

It could be due to: Either but it's likely not the pad if it's inside the vagina and you have been using the same type. My guess would be a recurrent yeast infection. Try a Monistat suppository just prior to menstruation. Additionally, if u wear a thong that will increase risk of recurrent vaginal infection. You can mix lotrimin (clotrimazole) cream with Hydrocortisone cream to see if this helps. Gd luck, go in if no improvemen.
