Without a visible HSV2 outbreak the average chance of transmitting HSV2 is around once per 1,000 for unprotected vaginal intercourse. Valacyclovir reduces the chance by about 50%, so the odds are somewhere around one chance in 2,000. It's still wise (and courteous) to inform partners of the risk so they can decide whether to proceed, take more precautions (like condom), and so on. Good luck.
