Dyspareunia: Yes you can have sex with this condition, but its very nature can make it uncomfortable. For a proper workup you need a gynecologist who specializes in female pain syndromes; treatment also generally requires psychotherapy with a psychologist skilled in sexual therapy and possibly also targeted biofeedback training. If you have previous trauma, this needs addressing also. Zoloft (sertraline) is only part.

Painful sex: You can try antidepressants, like zoloft (sertraline). I also recommend masturbation with a small sex toy, and see if you have the symptoms. Then work your way up to larger toys. If you are able to do so, you may need to see a thearpist who specializes in sexual dysfunction. To see if you have underlying issues with your partner.
