Chlamydia is the most frequently reported sexually transmitted infection in the USA caused by a bacterial organism. It is mainly spread through sexual route- vaginal ,oral or anal route from having sex with someone infected with this disease. It is not reported to spread from blood contamination. Vaginal swabs, urine tests in female and urine test in male are common means to check for infection.
