No. Anus was not designed to have stuff inserted into it, only for feces to come out. You run the risk of damaging your anal canal and getting fecal incontinence, in addition to the risk of STDs.

Anal sex is safe if you use protection and lubricants. KY jelly or Astroglide is best ,they are water based, not oil based as is Vaseline. Use water based to limit any tissue irritation. Anal sex, just like any other sex can transmit diseases. if no protection is used.
