A member asked:

I went to the dr for abdom/back pain. they said i had a uti & prescribed bactrim. 30 minutes after the first dose i started to feel a tingling sensation in my vaginal area. i ended up swelling down there & still burning over 6 weeks now, normal?

Definitely not normal. What you’re experiencing is an allergic reaction to Bactrim: sulfa to be specific. Stop the Bactrim immediately as nd ask your doctor for a different drug. Document sulfa allergy. You can take Benadryl for the swelling
