If your frequency of masturbation is upsetting, by all means try to reduce it. Professional counseling probably can help if you're unable to do it on your own. However, there is no point and no need to stop masturbating entirely. Masturbation is entirely harmless with regard to intelligence or any other physical health issue.

It does not. You are your own boss and if you determine you can quit you will be able to. It is helped by keeping busy and finding things to do like exercise, charity or social work, meditation, playing sports. Good luck
