Hello dr, syphilis detected after 2 yrs of exposure 2 days back. can it spread to my partner i m getting married next week.how many penicillin injection are required & can it spread to my fiancee we never had sex till now. kindly help me on this?

If syphilis is confirmed, follow the advice of your doctor or clinic. Syphilis usually is not transmissible by sex after a year, but there are exceptions; the safest thing is to not have sex with your fiancee (or wife) until you have been treated. Syphilis more than a year in duration usually needs 3 doses of long acting penicillin, but you will be non-infectious 24 hours after the first dose.
