Irregular menstrual periods are common. The fluctuations of estrogen and progesterone can be easily affected by stress, weight gain/loss, exercise, lack of sleep, illness, thyroid problems, and other issues. You can test once more in a week to be sure you are not pregnant. Most likely, period will resume normally. If the symptoms persist, talk to your Dr about irregular periods.
