If no symptoms typical of herpes after sexual exposure, it is very unlikely you were infected; and even with a known HSV2 infected partner, the risk of catching it is around 1 in a thousand. HSV blood tests are not recommended in this situation. If done, only IgG is valid; IgM testing is very unreliable and never recommended by experts. It takes up to 4 mo. for IgG to be positive.
