A member asked:

I have decreased sex drive after having a unilateral oophorectomy. i am still menstruating regularly. but i am also suffering from hair loss. could something be wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually the remaining ovary will produce sufficient hormones but it's worthwhile checking them. I would also recommend checking thyroid hormones. Ask your gynecologist for advice about hormonal testing for both estrogen and progesterone levels in view of your diminished libido.
