A member asked:

Why does my right leg hurt/really sore after giving birth? (i cant walk on it without limping) will this go away on its own? i had a vaginal delivery?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vaginal deliveries can compress motor/sensory nerves if the fetal head is slowed in progression. This should resolve if the compression did not damage the nerve. If these symptoms persist, see a neurologist for an exam and testing.
