Help please! i missed the 6th pill in my birth control pack then had unprotected sex the next day! will i need plan b?

Maybe: When a bcp is missed, the best approach to correct this problem is to take two of the pills the next day. Pregnancy protection is reduced so a back up method may be prudent. Plan b is a reasonable approach after which resumption of the bcp pack may be considered. If concerned, as your doctor what they recommend.

Missing one: oral contraceptive does not increase risk significantly but it you miss two or more, the effectiveness will progressively drop.
