It’s best to ask the person who ordered the test what the result means. They will know how the results relate to their diagnostic possibilities generated by your history and physical exam. Knowledge of the labs, normal or abnormal reference range is next important consideration. But if your test was considered negative, then I would assume it is negative. Talk to your provider again.

Agree with Dr. Perez. The risk of Hep C through sex is small. You should talk to your doctor about other STDs to ascertain if you should get tested. Get HPV vaccine. Wish you good health!
