: Oral birth control use will stop ovarian hormone production and bleeding at intervals while taking regular oral bcp's is not a "natural period". To stop all bleeding, oral bcps active pills can be taken for several months without a break. During oral bcp use, ovulation is suspended if directions are followed explicitly for the use of same.
