Good day, i recently started with contraceptive pill (mercilon) ive only had the pills for 2 days, doctor said they will only be effective after my next menstrual cycle, is it safe to take morning after pill after unprotected sex?

Backwards thinking. Morning after pill is to be used after failure of contraceptive not as part of your plan for contraception. Try doing something as simple as condom use (male or female) until your contraceptive pill is fully effacacious.

No: Best thing to do is not have sex I use condoms if you know you are going to have sex at time of ovulation.

Oral contraceptives: Take the pill the same time of each day, it does not matter when you start it. Just be consistent in taking it daily at the same time of each day.

Double your pills: Take two pills daily to "catch up" with the one that you missed or secondarily use Plan B. It is unlikely that you will get pregnant.
