See a DR.: A non testicular mass in the scrotum is worth investigating. It could be something as simple as a varicocele or as serious as a tumor. Have your PCP do a complete physical exam and check your scrotum for this mass. They may send you for imaging and other tests to determine what this mass is. Avoid squeezing or manipulating this mass to much as it can cause irritation.

?Epididymal cyst: Epididymal cysts are next to testis, spherical, vary in size and definitely not hard also quite common and not cancerous. Testicular tumors are within testicle and hard, as are paratesticular tumors. Scrotal ultrasound will provided definitive diagnosis. Varicoceles feel like a bag of worms when standing, almost always left-sided and disappear when lying down.
