I need to speak to a gyno. ive been having brown discharge/spotting for longer than a week now.i am on birth control i am on my period week and i still have the brown it covers an entire tampon and some red. what is this?

Vaginal bleeding ?'s: If you are on oral contraceptives, the dose is very low and missing an active pill by more than one hour will sometimes produce a brown discharge or frank bleeding. Keep a punctual schedule, and take the active pills within the hour of the previous active pill. If pregnancy is possible, and the bleeding continues , obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy.
