A member asked:

Why do i get period like cramps a week before my period? its usually when i run or do something strenuous after a period of no exercise. usually gone when i sit down and take a break? should i be worried? does it indicate an std or illness

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pre-menstrual cramp: It’s your body adjusting to the menstrual state - hormonal changes tha lead to actual menstruation cause changes in the layers of muscle and the endometrium in your uterus, causing the cramping feelings
