Spotting: Spotting/irregular bleeding is common on birth control pills, but the issue is why were you spotting before. Check ultrasound for fibroids/ polyps, and PAP smear for cervical dysplasia, check thyroid function. may need another type of pill. f/u/ w/ MD https://www.healthline.com/health/womens-health/spotting-before-periods
