A member asked:

Can crossing & squeezing inner thighs muscles to put pressure on vagina hurt baby? i am 38 weeks pregnant & baby is head down.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Wouldn't think so: A person's legs are outside her torso (her pelvis + abdomen + chest). That means whatever she does with her legs, as long as they are not folded up on top of her tummy, would not affect things inside her torso. Probably the only time crossing her legs will squish the baby is when the baby is being born and is partly outside of the pelvis already.
