Get screened: The way to sort this out is to have a screening done for STD's. There are several that can be carried & passed with no obvious symptoms in some. The assessment is commonly done by exam along with blood & urine tests.

Bites: These could easily just be chigger bites.They are often quite itchy & also show up on the beltline. They generally disappear over a week or so.
