Not safe!: It is not safe to use napthalene balls in a closed in area where you will be breathing the air. Mothballs are pesticides which can be poisonous if they're swallowed or if large amounts of the fumes are inhaled. Poisoning can result from breathing in the fumes over a period of time. Naphthalene can damage red blood cells, leading to kidney damage & other problems. I wish you well with your health!
