HPV vaccine: There is a vaccine that prevents infection with the most common types of human papillomavirus (HPV), including the types that cause almost 90% of genital warts, it not already infected with those types. There is no injection to treat existing warts. (Interferon given intravenously has been used, but is not very effective and rarely used these days.)
