Hormone variation: can increase breast tenderness, for example if your cycles are irregular, polycystic ovaries, can increase levels of weak estrogen, this could be a cause, hormonal contraception could also be related to breast pain, in some cases. If you feel a mass, or pain persists, discuss with your doctor.
