A 21-year-old female asked:

Does cervical cancer hpv have to be contracted through genital-genital contact? or can it also be caused by masturbating the other sex or oral?

HPV: There are many strains of HPV, some of which have a greater chance of developing into malignant cells. Transmission may occur from any contact of mucosal surfaces, with subsequent viral transfer to the genital tract , including manual, oral or actual genital contacts. Most strains of HPV do not cause malignant cell transformation, but annual pap smears provide treatment options.
