Mirena IUD: No birth control method is "100%", and "cramps, tender breasts and mood changes" may be signs of contraceptive failure. Obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy, but if negative, see the gyn provider who inserted the IUD to make sure it is not in the cervical canal, which can cause the symptoms.
