What is prostatitis? is prostatitis contagious? does std cause prostatitis? if std is not the cause then what are other causes? how it can b treated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Prostatitis: Prostatitis is an inflammation of the prostate. It most often starts as a bacterial infection. The majority of cases are caused by bacteria from your own body. These are not contagious. A small percentage of cases may be due to std organisms and therefore might be spread sexually.
