A member asked:

I'm 41 years old and have not had a period in 2 months. i have had a tubal ligation 15 years ago so pregnancy is out of the equation. is it menopause?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Could be: You could wait and watch. If you develop menopausal symptoms like hot flashes, insomnia, weight gain, you would know. You could see your gynecologist for hormone tests that would let you know sooner. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
