Yes: To be on safe, it is advised to either avoid sex or use adequate protection for at least a week after treatment has been initiated and all your symptoms, if any, have resolved. The reason is that it "may" take that long to eradicate the Trich and the fact that Flagyl is not 100% successful. Also important that any sex partners have been treated and that you have been screened for other STDs.
