Not contagious: Bacterial vaginosis is not contagious to your husband. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine.

Sex and BV: You should hold off on sex for now. BV is not a typical STD, but sex can trigger BV, and here should be no sex for at least the week of treatment, and preferably for a couple more weeks weeks; and condom-only sex for a few weeks after that. Your spouse won't get anything we know about, but sex will make it harder for you to be cured or might make it come back soon after treatmen
