Grooming: Grooming of the pubic hair area may be a risk factor for developing skin infections from herpes, molluscum contagiosum and bacterial skin infections such as folliculitis. One can also get contact dermatitis from the wax. As you can imagine, one must take precautions or use other methods if problems are caused. Meds are available for most complications see your MD.

Moist heat: There is not much more you can do than heat. Also use a triple antibiotic cream. Topical tincture of iodine will help both the cyst and the infection.
