A member asked:

Took my birth control everyday. no period on placebo, why? pregnant? i took pills daily and not on any other pills.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not preg: If you take your BCPs every day then there is a very low chance of pregnancy, but it's not a zero % chance. If you're really concerned, then just check a home pregnancy test (urine). Many women who take BCPs have lighter and lighter periods. This is part of the effect of the progesterone in the pill. It's possible to have no bleeding at all with placebo pills because the lining is so thin.
