If you're pregnant while on birth control, will you still get your period during placebo week? or will it stop?

Period no show: There will not be a period during that week. Besides, if you take your pill every day at the same time each day, pregnancy very very rarely occurs under those circumstances.

Unlikely: but even birthcontrol fails so pills plus condoms are a good method to keep safe

Yes: Statistically it's not likley that you would get pregnant if you're taking the pill as prescribed and are consistent with when you take it. But there is a very small failure rate of the birth control pill, so yes a woman could get pregnant while on the pill. Ovulation occurs usually between days 11-17 (day 14 +/- 3 days) so by the time you would be taking the placebo pills, day 21, it's unlikely.

Unlikely: There is no method of contraceptive that is 100% effective regardless of periods but if used correctly failure is very unlikely.Hope this makes you feel better.
