Germs and anatomy: Germs attack, they cause disease -that's what they do. Sex, particularly prolonged/vigorous sex can 'set you up' for a UTI since it gives the germs more time to do their dirty work. Urinating after sex may help-but it's not the 'be all-end all' of prevention. You may want to try increasing your hydration status to get that bladder flushing-flushing-flushing.
