Odd wording ??: A negative is not false unless you are positive. It happens, but seldom with syphilis except very early in the disease. Not all "sores" come from syphilis, there are other STD's that can trigger them or it may be unrelated. If you are concerned something was missed, get another evaluation and be ready to share all your concerns.
