Yes birth control : Pills are great at regulating one's cycle. Pills also reduce unwanted hair growth (upper lip), protect you from ovarian cancer, minimize pain with periods as well as prevent pregnancy. It is very possible though that after stopping your periods could return to normal or they may become abnormal after a couple months once stopping - impossible to predict.
