See a doctor.: Herpes appear in clusters and usually are very painful. Herpes can not be cured but it can be suppressed. Taking acyclovir can significantly prevent your partner from getting herpes also. If the lesions are active they can be cultured. If they go away, there are blood tests that can show if you have the antibody to Herpes. You should see a doctor for further diagnosis before having sex.
