Endoscopic exam of: bladder , looking inside the bladder the scope is introduced through penis in male directly though urinary orifice in female. some times through the scope additional procedures are done , Slightly more painful in men due to anatomy , Some type of anesthesia or sedation will be give . It is fairly safe low risk useful and commonly done procedure .Speak to your doctor.
