A member asked:

How effective is the pull out method if used when i couldn't get my bc pills because the pharmacy closed early and i usualy am perfect at taking them ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Plan C?: The success of the pull-out method depends on how adeptly it is used. It can have a failure rate as high as 27%. If you double up on our birth-control pills the day after you miss them, you will still be covered by the birth-control pills. If this isn't possible you can always buy and take emergency contraception pills such as Plan B. They can be taken up to 72 hours after intercourse.
