This is common: This happens a lot. STDs are not transmitted all the time. On average, there's a 20-50% chance of transmitting chlamydia during any single episode of unprotected vaginal sex (higher male to female, lower in the other direction). If you only had sex a few times, your partner probably didn't catch it. But the tests aren't perfect, and he definitely still needs to be treated for chlamydia.
