I had a tubal 11yrs ago and an ablation @5yrs ago. i didn't have a period for 3yrs but then started very lightly for last few years. i was always 26-28day cycle almost exactly. now i haven't had my period since thanksgiving so i am more than a week lat

Moving toward: menopause, I suspect. Of course, after an ablation the pattern of bleeding is a little bit more difficult to interpret. Having cyclic bleeding for the last few years suggests you were menstruating. Given your history, it is highly unlikely you are pregnant. You may be starting to experience irregular menses related to menopause, average age 51. OK to watch for 2-3 weeks; if ?'s, contact Doc.
