I'm using the xulane birth control patch and my period is late. i am sexually active with my boyfriend and i took a test on the 18th and it came back negative. i have still yet to have a period. is there anyway you can help me know what's going on?

Pregnancy test: The Xulane patch is replaced weekly for 3 weeks (21 total days). The fourth week is drug free. If you have been taking it correctly, you should have a period during the free week. If you didn't, you need a pregnancy test. Some women will stop having periods on the patch but you can't assume this. Best wishes!
