Bartholin gland cyst: Bartholin glands are present on both sides of the vaginal opening, and secrete fluid to lubricate the vaginal opening, but may become blocked, and then form a cyst, which is usually not painful but may be uncomfortable with sex or pressure. It may resolve with warm baths. At times, the gland or cyst becomes infected, and then there is more pain and swelling. This needs urgent intervention.
