Dermatology consult: I would recommend a dermatology consult if you have already tried and antifungal and antibacterial treatment. Sometimes it is difficult to differentiate between a fungal infection vs contact dermatitis vs eczema or other allergic or atopic dermatitis. Since you have had this for 2-3 months, it is time to have a specialist take a look at it if possible.

Difficult Problem: Have you had this evaluated. This should be seen but it can be from the underwear and your different activities. Make sure that you have cotton underwear and do not use softener on your underwear. Then can try a tube of Lamisil (terbinafine) cream and use 3 times daily on the area to see if helps. If still no response need to see provider. Hope this helps.
