Persistent NGU?: At age 23, most sexually acquired epididymitis is due to chlamydia and associated with nongonococcal urethritis (NGU) -- which fits with doxycycline treatment. Minor urethral discomfort often persists after treating NGU, usually not indicating continued infection. If there is still abnormal discharge, though, more treatment may be necessary. Recheck with the doc treating you.
