Would be safe,...: ...but why consider it if you don't have a yeast infection? The drug itself cannot cause a yeast infection. I see some internet buzz about fluconazole and sperm count, apparently going back to a single report of a minor effect in rabbits, but it's not been known to occur in humans. Anyway, even if a sex partner has a vaginal yeast infection, you probably don't need treatment yourself.

Once only: I assume its a vaginal yeast infection. If that is the case, usually only only tablet just once should resolve the issue.
