Nitrofurantoin &: Other common antibiotics like penicillin , Amoxicillin , sulfa, tetracycline, Rifampin cause a decrease in effectiveness of bcp by increasing its metabolism by the liver. So it's advisable to do a back up means of contraception - withdrawal, condoms. ( pls read link below).
