Yes: break through bleeding Unfortunately can occur as a side effect Of birth control pills especial in the newer very low dose pill. These pills need to be taken at the same time or very close to the same time every day and if a pill is accidentally missed or one is traveling and takes the pill at a different time then break through bleeding which can be associated with uterine cramps occurs.
