A member asked:

I got tested for a majority of std's a few months ago & they all came back negative. didn't test for hiv. would other tests show if i have it or not?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: No. HIV testing requires a specific test. The usual method is a blood sample, but there are several approved tests using oral swabs. If you are in doubt, always get checked.
